Provides Pima County and bordering counties with a highly reliable amateur radio HF/VHF/UHF emergency communications network, independent of all external technologies and power sources. Those members in adjacent counties are a part of their respective emergency communications group who operate under reciprocal agreement with Pima County. Their duties include passing regional traffic to the PECOC, giving neighborhood reports, and performing event safety monitoring. They also manage the Southern Arizona Region Emergency Communications HF Net on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 1:30 pm on 7.242 MHz (LSB).
