Pima County Driver Authorization is required for anyone operating a County vehicle or driving a personal vehicle on County business. This Administrative Procedure pdf-icon describes in depth the process for obtaining Driver Authorization, which, upon approval, is good for three years from the date of completion of the online Defensive Driving course. To register to take the course, contact Lisa Romero or Jay Hand at the Office of Emergency Management (724-9300).

After successful completion of the course, submit to the Office of Emergency Management a copy of your completion certificate, a picture of your valid driver’s license (front and back), and the two forms below. Electronic versions are acceptable, but please note that digital photos of the driver’s license are preferable to scanned images.
