Provides Pima County and bordering counties with a highly reliable amateur radio HF/VHF/UHF emergency communications network, independent of all external technologies and power sources. Those members in adjacent counties are a part of their respective emergency communications group who operate under reciprocal agreement with Pima County. Their duties include passing regional traffic to the PECOC, giving neighborhood reports, and performing event safety monitoring. They also manage the Southern Arizona Region Emergency Communications HF Net on Saturday’s at 0715 hrs. Early check-ins are conducted on VHF at 0700 hrs MST on the PCOEM Repeater (PCOEM CH1) at 146.88MHz, – offset, PL 110.9
